Net Insanity

Road trip this week. Heading north into the wildest part of western Ireland and some of the most ruggedly scenic parts of the Emerald Isle. The weather won’t be that great, but hey, this is western Ireland, of course it’s going to rain a bit.

We’ll be going to massive sandy beaches, rugged hills and wide Atlantic skies, much prettier than west coast Canada, and far more compact. You might not get the snow capped Rockies and coastal ranges, but this is the old country showing it’s bones, with some of the oldest surface rock in Europe. It has a certain majesty not constrained by mere size alone.

Why out this far? Well out in the fringes there isn’t all the wavy hand “look at me” activism of the Net Zero eejits from the East trying to get everyone to share in the insane belief that humanity is ruining the planet, and people insisting we can’t eat real meat because of ’emissions’. That’s a very squeamish urban belief.

For example, on the fake meat front; did you know that a recent study found that Lab-grown meat is up to 25 times worse for the environment than the real stuff? So why the push for these Frankenfoods? In order to produce enough insect protein for maggotburgers the ecological footprint has to be way bigger than herds of cattle, sheep or pigs raised for real meat on marginal grazing land no good for anything else.

There’s also the fact that livestock gradually improves land. They graze, leave their droppings behind which decompose and improve soil fertility. Fake meat just pollutes.

Why? Because 1% of 420ppm (0.042%) atmospheric CO2 (Itself essential for plant life) is down to human activity? More CO2 means more lush greenness nourishing the planet, in turn using up any excess CO2.

One can only conclude while zipping along in my tin box, playing my small part in greening the planet as we tour the far northwest of this rugged land, that there are a lot of people out there who have net zero brains. Or maybe they’ve just lost their minds?

I blame care in the community. Too many people out there contributing to the Net insanity of ‘climate’ policies. Most of whom are in politics. Unfortunately.

Back in a while.
